Brunch Wedding at Ricarda’s | Karen + Dave

Imagine sitting around a table with all of your favourite people sipping on lattes, and eating freshly baked goods and eggs benny. Now turn that into a wedding. Karen and Dave’s brunch wedding at Ricarda’s restaurant was a beautifully styled celebration of love, marriage, and waffles.

The Day

Our day together started bright and early at the fabulous new Kimpton Hotel on Bloor. I always love shooting in new spaces, and this one was beautiful!

We did details and dressing photos in record time, and headed up to Casa Loma for Karen and Dave’s first look. It was a stunning morning, with beautiful early light. The gardens of the castle were particularly on-point, and provided the most gorgeous backdrop for a very gorgeous couple.

After the ceremony in the conservatory at Casa Loma, we headed down to the super chic Ricarda’s restaurant. The art deco vibe complimented the aesthetics of the day beautifully. And the smell of freshly baked treats filled the air. What more could you want?!

The Details

This wedding was full of such bright, pretty, thoughtful details. Karen and Nagham from Love by Lynzie combined to create a personal and BEAUTIFUL visual experience for the couple, their families and all their guests.

Before the wedding, Karen told me they wanted to spend their wedding day doing their favourite things – eating brunch and drinking bubble tea. So chicken and waffles were front and centre on the menu, and they even had a bubble tea station, provided by Coco Fresh Tea and Juice.

The floral creations by Rosehill Blooms were fresh, bright, and beautiful. The perfect compliment to this trendy brunch wedding at Ricarda’s.

My personal favourite touch were the flower pressed details in the seating chart, welcome sign and table numbers. So creative and colourful.
