I love love love it when my couples think outside the box. Beverly and Andre wanted something really special for their photos, and when they suggested an Alpaca Engagement Session, I couldn’t wait to shoot it.
When you live in downtown Toronto, Alpacas are regrettably few and far between. So I got in the car and started the journey to Beaverton, Ontario to Forget Me Not Alpacas Farm. A couple of GPS fails and unintended detours later, I arrived at the farm just as golden hour began.
Beverly and Andre didn’t seem to mind that I was a tad late. Who can be mad when there are Alpacas around! I found them in the field, getting to know the lovely creatures. Specifically Tara and Ella, who we were told were the most agreeable females on the farm, and also soooooo photogenic. C’mon seriously, how awesome are they?
It’s pretty hard not to be in the best mood ever when you’re doing an Alpaca Engagement Session. “This is literally my dream,” Beverly said at one point with the biggest smile on her face. I’m so glad we were able to make that dream come true!
Of course, we didn’t want every picture to feature Alpacas (although it was hard not to). So the couple and I ventured out onto the farm just the three of us, and it was magic. Such a beautiful setting.
I also want to say a huge thanks to the lovely folks at Forget Me Not Alpacas for being so accommodating, informative, and creating such a beautiful place.
