This is what dreams are made of! Julie and Darren had the most beautiful day for their summer RCYC wedding. The sun shone down on the Toronto Island as they said their vows, sipped wine, and danced the night away.
Anyone living in Hamilton circa the late 2000s may remember a certain fire that damaged one of the residence buildings at McMaster. That fire left Julie looking for a new place to live, and luckily she not only found her new home, but her future husband in a new roommate. Talk about a silver lining!
They now live in the theatre district here in Toronto, which served as the backdrop for their engagement session last fall.
They’re funny, kind, and can really bust a move on the dance floor. And yes, her dress has pockets.
I mean, really, it doesn’t get much nicer than this. A summer RCYC wedding has the feeling of a destination wedding, just a 10 minute boat ride from downtown.
You get to say your vows with the Toronto skyline behind you, and watch the boats and the birds go by.
The sunset is next level.
As usual, Karina Lemke creates the most beautiful celebrations. Having this lady by your side throughout the planning process is a life saver, and basically a guarantee the day will run smoothly. Trust me, I know. She’s helping with my very own wedding too!
Cool Green and Shady did a gorgeous job with the green and white flower palette. The Bridal Hair Collective and Esther Kieselhof made the ladies look beautiful, and Ampersand provided those giant letters on the lawn.
The Shawn Brady Band kept the dance floor rockin’! And Naturally Captured did all the lovely video.
