A photographer is nothing without her network.
I am so fortunate to have the most lovely, wonderful, super-cool people as my clients, and they are kind enough to refer me to other lovely, wonderful, super-cool people.
That’s how I came to shoot Allison and Mike’s wedding at The Great Hall – sort of. Not only did I photograph their good friends’ wedding last year, but in a past life, Allison and I crossed paths working at another Queen West institution, The Rex.
I was so looking forward to seeing Allison again, meeting her man, her family, and reconnecting with lots of old faces.
This wedding had everything I think a wedding should have. The bride DIY’d herself the most beautiful day. They opted for a cocktail reception style evening, with amazingly delicious food stations (trust me, I had some), so guests were free to mingle, laugh and dance the night away as one big, happy group.
But even though it was GORGEOUS and full of gorgeous people, the essence of the day was pure love.
Allison and Mike’s love for life and love for each other filled my heart.
