One of the best parts about being a wedding photographer in the Greater Toronto Area is that you get to experience so many different wedding cultures and traditions. Martha, who comes from a Polish background, married Rob, a born and bred Brit, on a gorgeous Saturday afternoon.
Many of the Polish traditions were incorporated into the big day, including the breaking of the bread and vodka, lots of vodka. At the same time the day had an old world British flare to it, from the pocket watches to the fascinators. And is there anything cuter than a little kid with a British accent?
The were lots of laughs and lots of tears, and it was clear that these two have something really special.
Love this creation from The Madison Collection.
Bullet cufflinks are pretty rad.
And off to the church they went!
There was a ton of emotion that day, and Martha walking down the isle was a really special moment.
Alderlea mansion was the perfect place to shoot. It kept with the British look and feel, and it was air-conditioned on a hot summer day! Not every summer wedding has to have the bridal party drenched in sweat by the end.
We had to go outside just for a little bit.
I wouldn’t mind living there myself!
Such a sweet gift.
