I am so grateful these two let me into their lives for the past year. We first met last summer at their front door where they invited me in to capture their engagement session, and ever since, I felt that they were my kind of people. I was REALLY excited for their Kortright Centre wedding.
They nailed it when it came to the details. First off the wild, colourful floral arrangements by Patchouli were a rustic bride’s dream. Katie’s gown from Sash and Bustle looked like that of a woodland princess, and the green flower crown topped it off. Spencer actually made the wood ring box from scratch. Such a crafty groom.
Sparkly sneakers anyone? Yep, she did that.
Custom hand brewed custom beer? Yep, they did that too.
I don’t think I’ve worked with such a laid back couple. It was threatening to rain all day so they opted to move the ceremony inside the wood hatched space, and they barely bat an eye. Turned out to be the right decision. And the skies cleared for them to head back outside to have the reception underneath the summer stars.
I was so happy to capture it for you.
