Imagine a hot summer day in Toronto – one of those where it seems like the whole city is out celebrating with friends, clinking glasses, and basking in the sun’s rays. Then imagine your own little love bubble right in the centre of it all. That was Alex and Jon’s Steam Whistle wedding.
I did their Liberty Village engagement session last fall, and couldn’t wait to shoot with them again. They’re one of those couples that you can’t pull apart from each other. They wear their love for each other like a black leather jacket; proudly, and all the time.
The signage, the flowers, all the little DIY touches were simply so well put together. And the shoes, are you kidding me!? Girl, you rocked that fishtail hairstyle. Such a bold but beautiful choice and you looked radiant. Jon’s suit colour coordinated with the trains outside the venue, did you really plan that? Doesn’t matter, it looked amazing.
The mis-matched blush and champagne coloured bridesmaids dresses were sooooo pretty. Not to mention the bridesmaids themselves. The shot of them in front of the Canadian train is my fave.
Having a Steam Whistle wedding entitles you to their beer. And let’s be honest, that’s half the reason to do it there.
And congrats on having one of the best parties I’ve seen a while. Was there anyone who wasn’t on the dance floor? You may have noticed me not to discreetly head-bobbing to the music.
Plus, they f***ing gorgeous people. Seriously.
